Instant Chilled Storage Solution for Dairy Products
Customer Project
The customer had experienced a major incident on site which had resulted in the loss of some valuable storage space for their cream and yoghurt products. This would have had a serious impact on the business if an instant chilled storage solution could not be found. Having worked with Dawsongroup previously, they called us to visit the site and review their options.
Action/Solution
Through the site visit we gained an understanding of their processes and the issues they faced. We looked at the available space and power supplies that would be needed, found an area we could use, and proposed a temporary insulated structure to maintain the room temperature at +4°C.
Outcome/Benefits
A flexible medium-term agreement was agreed with the customer. We supplied a chiller along with three low-temperature air handlers sited externally, with galvanised spiral wound steel ducts and foil-backed mineral wool insulation which provided the necessary conditioned air for the customer’s instant chilled storage needs.
The whole solution was designed, installed and commissioned by our own team.
